FROM THE AIRPORT:
From the Smith/Berry terminals : Take I-94 WEST towards Chicago. After 3-4 minutes travel on I-94 WEST, you will see signs for I-275 NORTH take it. Or, if landing at the Northwest Airlines McNamara Terminal, exit via Eureka Road and proceed to I-275 NORTH and follow map as shown. Stay on I-275 NORTH for about 15-20 minutes until you have an opportunity to join with I-696 EAST, a soft swing to the right as the expressway splits. You'll follow I-696 EAST to Farmington Hills and take Exit 5 (Orchard Lake Road). At the exit, turn right onto Orchard Lake Rd. and go SOUTH for about 2 miles until you come to Ten Mile Rd. There is a Walgreen's drugstore on the corner. Turn left (EAST) onto Ten Mile Rd. and travel 1/2 mile to the corner of Springbrook... you'll see a green Historic District sign on the edge of the property that says Plum Tree Pottery. Turn in at the driveway and park in the small parking area. As you walk into the courtyard the studio's showroom is on your left and the house on your right. The studio is at the rear down a brick path. A sign on the showroom door directs visitors to where we are. Welcome to Plum Tree Pottery! Total travel time from airport in average traffic is about 35-40 minutes. |
